Mock Trial goes to State

Last Thursday was an interesting day for our Mock Trial team.  During Regionals against Elk River, the judges said that Buffalo lost by three points.   Senior Graham Wyatt’s dad checked the numbers and noticed that one of the judges forgot to copy a seven over to Buffalo’s score sheet.  With that seven, Buffalo was enabled to beat Elk River by four points.

“We made sure we wanted to win.  We put a lot of effort in to practice.  We tried to change it up a little bit because we faced them earlier this season.” said Wyatt.  “We wanted to throw them a few curve balls.”

The Mock Trial team is now preparing for State on March 9 and 10.

“For state we’re just gonna work on the small things to help us improve, like placement in the courttroom, hand motions, and objections,” said Junior Mike Porttiin.

“We need to become more polished, get our content down, and come off very presentable,” said Wyatt.
