Boy’s Swim and Dive head into Sections

On Friday February 27th the Bison Swimmers and Divers head to Alexandria for the Section meet. There will be eight teams there and many of the teams they have swam against before.

In past years the Bison have not place as good as they wanted to. This year however they will have a very good showing and show the other teams to look out in years to come. With a team filled with strong lower classmen and middle school swimmers the team is going to be strong in years to come.

A few of the boys on the team have a serious shot at placing well in the Sections meet and advancing to the State meet. They have been working hard at practice all year leading up to this meet. For some of them if they do not do well it will be the last meet of their High School career.

In order to drop time the bots are going to do whatever it takes. This includes shaving off all extra hair on arms, legs and any other necessary parts. Many of the boys will even shave their heads bald. “It’s such a weird feeling, not having any hair, but it’s what you got to do to drop time,” says sophomore Zac Ransom.
