Throughout the meet there were very strong performances in both the track and field events. The 4×800 meter relay was dominated by the bison and the team earned themselves one of the state spots. The top 2 finishers automatically get to go to state along with anyone else who makes the time cut. Hurdlers Keenan Stangl and Ben Stevens also showed very strong performances. Keenan won the 110 meter high hurdle race and got a spot at the state meet. In the 300 meter hurdles Jerome Begin also earned himself a spot in the state meet.

When it was all said and done the boys had won the meet and were named Section Champs. For many members of the team this is not the final step, many are competiting in the Minnesota Track and Field State meet. They will face the best athletes in the state and will need to dig deep in order to beat them. “I am excited to go to state, there is gonna be some fast kids there,” says Sophmore Tim Ernster. Good Luck Boys and congratulations on the win.
