The Bison Girls’ Swim and Dive team heads to the Section Meet at St. Cloud Tech this weekend. Coach Rachel Busch is very pumped for the girls and can’t wait to see what the day will bring.

“Well the girls have been working really hard,” said Busch. “Now they are resting and their times are going to drop, which is going to make for a great and exciting meet.”
With a record of 7-2-0, Senior Captain Annika Bordak has high hopes for the girls and can’t wait for it to begin the first round of sections.

“I feel like we have a shot at First, but Maple Groove is going to be a challenge,” said Bordak. “St. Michael is in our sections now so they are definitely going to give us a run for our money.”

Sections are not all nerves for everyone though and for Becca Haggerty its a chance to not let the nerves get the best of her, and show what she’s got.

“I will be nervous on Saturday before the meet starts,” said Haggerty, “but I’m not really nervous right now. I will just do a run through of how I’m going to dive right before I dive and then take a deep breath and dive. I think overall we will either get First or Second and a lot of people will go end up going to state which is great.”
