Chipotle in Buffalo?

The words “Did you hear we’re getting a Chipotle?” have been spread around BHS and the community like wildfire the past month. With excitement and anticipation from many students and staff, the rumor everyone is so happy about has been confirmed false. For now anyways.

The Hoofprint contacted representitives from Chipotle about this rumor. “Rusty” from Chipotle Customer Relations responded that;

“Right now we do not have anything solidified for Buffalo, MN. It is possible our Real Estate team is doing some research in that area to see if it would support a location, thus spurring some rumors. Maybe one day, it could happen!”

Right now we do not have anything solidified for Buffalo, MN. It is possible our Real Estate team is doing some research in that area to see if it would support a location, thus spurring some rumors. Maybe one day, it could happen!

Reporters from The Hoofprint also called Chipotle Headquarters and they also denied the rumor.

Another popular rumor is that the owner of the Monticello Pizza Ranch bought out the old Pizza Hut in Buffalo and planned to put a Chipotle there. When asked if this was true the owner chuckled and said

“I have no idea where that rumor came from but I did not buy the building.” He added that it indeed would be awesome.

“I’m pissed because I was actually really excited about us getting a Chipotle!” Senior Casey Anderson said angrily.

“Imagine being able to eat a steak burrito after school everyday.”

Junior Reed Morehouse actually thinks the “rumor” might be good staying a “rumor.”

“I would go broke if we had a Chipotle.” Putting the money aside, Morehouse is still disappointed.

“I like Chipotle because I can eat a burrito the size of a baby infant and not feel bad about it afterwards because I know it’s a healthy option.”

So regardless of the tweets and the whispers, Buffalo is currently not getting a Chipotle. However like “Rusty” said, maybe one day!
