Ford vs. Chevy: Which does BHS prefer?

Ford or Chevy; which would you prefer? 306,990 people were asked that same question in a national poll. 52 percent preferred Chevy while the other 48 percent claimed Ford was the better choice. BHS students were given the same poll; out of the 73 polled, 41 students chose Chevy, 24 chose Ford, and eight students voted neither.

“Chevy looks better and lasts longer,” said School Resource Officer Josh Ericson, who admits he drives a Ford but prefers Chevy.

In the world of automobiles, the biggest “war” has been choosing between Ford or Chevy. Ford was always considered the front runner until Chevrolet created a division known as General Motors that took leadership from the 1920’s to the

1930’s.

“Chevy, it’s the American ride,” said Junior Jared Wycoff.

It wasn’t until the 1950’s that Ford was able to briefly regain control of vehicle sales. Soon after Chevy once again rose

Physical Education Teacher Jason Karn doesn’t particularly like one company over the other, but voted Ford saying,
This was also the opinion of many seniors and faculty members.“Their company didn’t take the government bailout.”
