Knowledge Bowl Goes to State

Out of the 18 schools that were at Thursdays Knowledge Bowl meet, only 5 made it to state.  Including Buffalo.

The first round was the written round, only five people from each team answered the 60 multiple choice questions.  They all had 50 minutes to finish the questions, and when time is up they turned them in to the coaches to be scored.  Following the written round, each team was placed in rooms according to the scores that each team got.  Buffalo got fourth in the written round and put in room two.  Inside the room, the oral round took place.  45 questions were asked and once the question was asked, the team would buzz in, only having 15 seconds to answer the question.  Buffalo ended the round with 10 points and the highest scoring team having 12 points.  They were then moved to room three.  Buffalo got 17 points, the highest score in the room.  After round two, they were moved up to room one.  Buffalo stayed in room one for the last three rounds, competing against Tech1 and Rogers and ended up in second place.

The state meet will be held in Brainerd April 22nd and 23rd.
