Music Department Prepares for Concert Season

The Concert Band will be partaking in something new this year- they will be performing with the Plymouth Community Band on October 15th at 7:30 in the Performing Arts Center. The 15th will be both the first and the last time the two groups will rehearse with each other before the performance. They will be playing two songs together that they both have been working on individually.
“I’m not worried,” said Junior Marah Walker. “We know what we are doing and they know what they are doing.”
This will be the first time the junior members will get to perform as part of the Concert Band.
“It’s a lot more pressure,” said Junior Jade Grundy, “but it’s a lot of fun because everyone that’s in it wants to be in it.”
The music department has a numerous amount of other upcoming performances as well. From the Concert Choir performing their annual “Major Work Concert” on October 29th, to the Orchestra’s performance with Concordia Moorhead college on November 3rd, the groups are all busy preparing their songs.
