Bison GLAX Moves on to Section Semi-Finals
Bison Girls Lacrosse defeated the Becker Bulldogs in quarter final game last Thursday

The energy was high Thursday night on Bison Field West as the number one-ranked Buffalo Bison Girls’ Lacrosse Team made a strong postseason debut against the number eight-seeded Becker Bulldogs. The regular season saw the Bison defeat the Bulldogs 19-4, and the Bison’s performance in the section quarterfinals was nearly identical, resulting in a 20-4 Bison victory.
The Bison came out ready to play and scored nine times in the first quarter. After an initial forced turnover by Daneka Eng ‘27, Hattie Touissant ‘25 found the net to put the Bison on the scoreboard. Soon after, Bailey Mischke ‘25 would also score. Becker had a shot on goal, but Rory Meyer ‘26 saved it, and Mischke converted it into a point along with the assistance of Adellita Nelson ‘27. More goals by Lyla Pool ‘28, Calista Weiche ‘27, and more lead to a 9-0 advantage to end the first quarter.
With 11 minutes left to play in the second quarter, Touissant scored again for a hat trick. Mischke, Jocelyn Phillips ‘27, and Hannah Rosso ‘28 scored again, along with the assistance of Weiche and Jasmine Jorgensen ‘28. The Bulldogs found the net once in the first half to give the Bison strong momentum with a 14-1 lead going into halftime.
The second half saw Mackenzie Phillips ‘25, Rosso, Jocelyn Phillips, Touissant, and Nelson all score again. Becker’s Morgan Vee would score three more points for the Bulldog’s making herself the team’s lone scorer. The Bison won the quarterfinal 20-4.
The game gave the Bison positive momentum as they continued on in section play. Next up for the Bison will be the section semifinals at home against Elk River/ Zimmerman on Tuesday, June 3rd, at 1 pm.
