Now what could she be talking about? Yoga pants. The craze of BHS girl students and apparently a craze for boys as well.

Students decided to give their opinions on this “hot” new craze. Whether it be yoga pants, leggings, or spandex why do you wear them? “They’re comfortable and are an excuse to be lazy and cute,” said Oistad. Unfortunately yoga pants aren’t fitted for everyone.

“If yoga pants were socially acceptable to wear for guys I would wear them,” said Senior Logan Gruber, “because people have told me they are really comfortable.”

Not all people agree with wearing yoga pants. Surprisingly enough more girls interviewed than boys had negative things to say about yoga pants.

“Yoga pants are made for yoga not school”, said Sophomore Jessica Beckers.

Girls described yoga pants as too revealing. Are these pants designed to leave nothing to imagination or just for comfort.

“Everyone knows you wear yoga pants to accentuate your assets,” said Senior Adriana Charriez.

Fifteen out of 15 teachers surveyed agreed skirts are getting shorter. The question is how short is too short?

“I think you should be able to walk up the stairs without me seeing your underwear,” said English Teacher Tracy Hagstrom Durant.

Some choose to go with the more respectful route and prefer longer skirts. Taking a secondary approach to the typical high school boy stereotype.

“Six inches above the knee is a good length,” said Freshman Adam Treptau.

Others  may agree to disagree.

“I like when my girlfriend wears them,” said Senior JP Newman.

Opinions may vary depending on who the person the short skirt or short shorts are on. Protective brothers and sister or even parents may completely reject the idea of a short skirt or short.

“My sisters skirt will have to be past the knees,” said Newman.

Whatever angle you take the battle of the inches will continue to wage on at Buffalo High School.
