“It’s frustrating not being able to go 100 percent,” said Junior Danielle Nordin. “But also gives the under-classmen a chance to step up and take on the responsibility of being a varsity competitor.”

Varsity competitors Nordin and Alicia Malawicki were unable to compete do to injuries last week. Malawiki will try to overcome that injury and compete in bars. Megan Durst an all around gymnast is coming off of a hamstring injury and is only able to compete on the vault and bars. Sophomores Paige Habisch and Nadja Vragovic are the all around varsity competitors (floor, bars, beam, and vault). Eighth-grader Brooke Simonson is stepping up to fill in the shoes of the injured athletes and will be competing in the all around also.
