Have you ever been afraid to stick out in a crowd?

Have you ever been afraid to stick out in a crowd? People, especially teenagers, tend to be afraid to stray away from social norms. This is exactly what CIS Psychology students explored when they took part in Violate a Social Norm day.
To participate, these students dressed or acted in a way that seemed out of the ordinary. This is anywhere from having an open backpack to even bringing a life sized plastic skeleton into school.

Knowledge bowl is a trivia-based activity, where groups of teams all compete in written and spoken rounds of trivia to see who gets the highest score. The season for this year just recently started this past Tuesday, and they will continue to practice until their first meet on January 10th. 🦬

Tracy Hagstrom Durant, also known as HD, is the BHS director, and she’s been involved in directing for around 4 decades. She just recently finished bringing Buffalo’s most recent production, Hadestown, to life, with the final show being last Saturday.
