Bison Baseball lose their first conference game to Cambridge-Isanti

The Bison Baseball team started off the season with a tough loss against Cambridge-Isanti. Junior Jason Senger started pitching for the Bison. The Bluejackets were the first to strike in the 4th inning scoring two. The Bison answered back scoring one. In the 6th inning the Bison scored and tied the game 2-2.  Neither team scored in the 7th inning which put the game into extra innings.

Senger started the 8th inning and gave up two-run home run. The Bison defense couldn’t stop the Bluejackets in the 8th inning and they scored three runs putting them ahead 5-2. Senger started pitching the 8th inning and gave up two-run home run. Senior J.D. O’Donnell came into relief for Senger and gave up one run before they finally retired the Bluejackets. Buffalo didn’t answer back and fell to Cambridge-Isanti 5-2.

Buffalo’s next games aren’t until Saturday where they’re on the road to Wilmer to play Wilmer and New Prague. Neither are conference match ups. The Bison have a record of 0-3 overall, and 0-1 in the conference.

The Bison’s next conference game is Tuesday April 17th against Rogers at home.
