Six choirs set to present World Music Choir Concert tomorrow night

Tomorrow, Thursday March 10, at 7:30, all choirs will be performing their “World Music” Choral Concert in the Performing Arts Center. All together there are 6 choirs. Three large groups, and three smaller groups; treble singers, varsity singers, and BHS singers.

 At 7:30 choir students will be ready to sing. Freshman choirs will be singing 4 songs, Varisty Choir will be singing four songs, one piece is in Sweden, and concert choir will be singing 4 pieces, two of them in foreign languages. Some of the music is from England, Finland, France, Haiti, Israel, South Africa, Sweden, and the United States. At the very end of the concert, all choirs will be singing “We are the World” combined  from Haiti.

“I think it’s important we do a combined piece at the end,” said Choir Director Michael Walsh. “The last clap is always the biggest and  everyone puts into the concert, so I think it’s important everyone gets that last applause.”

Some of the music the choirs will be performing is from England, Finland, France, Haiti, Israel, South Africa, Sweden, and the United States. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students right when you walk in through the PAC doors.
