Gently used prom items about to go on sale at Promtique

Community Education is hosting the third annual Promtique dress sale next Saturday, March 12, from 9a.m. to 1p.m at the Discovery Center in Buffalo.

Promtique offers students gently used dresses for a cheaper price than the typical brand new dresses. A typical dress costs around $150-$500. On an internet website, they cost anywhere from around $100-$400.  While Promtique gives you the opportunity to find a dress that fits you, your personality, and style for less than the typical asking price. They also offer gently used shoes and jewelry as well for cheaper then you would find on the internet or in a store, like DEB.

Promtique also offers people to bring in their gently used dresses, shoes, and jewelry and sell them. The person who sells the items, get’s 80% of the profit while the other 20% goes to community education. If your items are not sold you may pick them back up, or you have the choice to let them go to a donation.

If you are interested in selling your gently used prom items bring them in to the Community Education between

February 28 and March 9.

“I think Promtique benefits a lot of people,” said Junior Ellen Stetter. ” The dresses are not expensive and if they can’t afforda brand new dress, they can go there and get one for a lot cheaper I think it’s an awesome thing to have here.”
