Buffalo High School reaches out to fundraise for Feed My Starving Children

Next week, Students Stepping Up is pairing up with Student Council to put on a fundraiser for Feed My Starving Children. This is part of Student Council’s “RAVE Week”, which is a week dedicated to being positive and giving back to others.

“I thought about the idea to do a fundraiser and presented it to the SSU committee. We all agreed that it would be a good thing for the school to participate in,” said Junior Bailey Hanson. “Fundraising for Feed My Starving Children seem to go well with ‘Rave Week’ because people would feel good about giving back.”
The fundraiser is going to be happening Tuesday-Friday, January 17-20. The committee has been putting up posters around school to let their classmates know what is happening next week.
“The FMSC committee got together to decorate posters during the last few triple a’s,” said Junior Emma Club. “We wanted to make sure the word got around fast so people can help us raise lots of money.”
Students are glad to be helping with something that is going to make a great impact on other people’s lives.
“I wanted to help and do something good,” said Sophomore Danielle Krecklau. “Knowing that I’m helping participate in something that is going to help change somebody’s life, is so great. It’s the best feeling.”
“We’re going to feed hungry kids,” said Junior Adria Scherber. “We’re going to make them happy. Buffalo High School is going to make an impact on them.”
